Your daily thinking routine . . .

You can't experience anything outside of your current way of thinking simply because you won't see what you are NOT looking for. If you are consistently focused on apples and think only of them, you will only see apples. Even if an orange passes right under your nose you will not see it! So if there is something you would like to be part of life you need to incorporate it into your daily thinking routine. And if there is something part of your current experience but you would rather it not be, then you need to let it drop away from your daily thinking routine.
